Once again it seems Porsche has been
reluctant to tamper too much with the winning formula that has seen
the 911 become one of the best selling sportscars of all time.
Obvious changes include a new headlamp design (incorporating all-LED
technology), lower and wider front bumper (including more LED
technology), new side mirrors and sharp, re-moulded rear. The new
car is reportedly around 50 mm longer than the model it replaces and
this, in turn, allows for a longer wheelbase. Images of the new cars
interior reveal inspiration taken from within the existing Porsche
family, most notably the Panamera. Rumour has it Porsche will offer
a 3,4-litre version of its flat-six engine in Carrera models, while
Carrera S models will deliver 300 kW at 7 000 r/min from a 3,8-litre
direct-injection flat-six unit. A choice of either seven-speed
manual or dual-clutch PDK transmissions will be offers. source -
