Computer Literacy Courses in South Africa
2KO is a specialist IT training company.
Our specialist skills are in training people for new careers. Our
passion is for people and this passion spills over into our basic
computer literacy training courses which we deliver in South Africa.
Computer literacy is critical in the new South Africa, where people come
from backgrounds and schooling which did not afford them the
opportunities to get to grips with computer technology. 2KO aims to
change that through our computer literacy training program.
Our Basic Computer Literacy Training
Program
The following steps are involved in our
computer literacy training program:
-
Assessment of the candidates
We assess the candidates where necessary to ensure that the
candidates have the interest in the course and to see if they have
the basic language skills needed to benefit from the computer
literacy training, which is conducted in English.
-
Streaming
Where a large number of candidates are being trained, we may choose
to stream these candidates where possible, to ensure that candidates
of the same ability train together. This is not always possible due
to work location, transport and other considerations.
-
Basic Business Skills
Before someone can be useful operating a computer they must first be
trained how to conduct themselves in a professional manner in a
formal business environment. Training people on the job is a time
consuming process and often leads to low productivity and a high
level of personnel management. We train people over anything from
one day to five days on various aspects of acceptable business
behaviour.
-
Basic Computer Literacy Training
The actual basic computer literacy training course is conducted over
5 days as phase 1. This provides a solid foundation for
conceptualization of IT related work, as well as imparts the most
basic skills to operate a computer. We will ensure the classroom is
set up in accordance with your work environment wherever possible
e.g Microsoft office or star office, internet explorer or firefox
etc.
