Phuket in
southern Thailand offers a diversity of
vacation and holiday related themes and
availability for rather moderate prices.
This pricing spectrum covers a wide range,
there are cheap Phuket hotels and luxury
Phuket resorts and hotels. The same is for
restaurants, villas, Phuket beach bungalows,
Phuket nightlife and so on and it wont end
there. Several Asia low cost airlines
operate flights Phuket for very moderate
prices, notable Tiger Airways from Singapore
and Air Asia within south east Asia plus
several low cost airlines in Thailand such
as Nok Air. The National Flag Carrier Thai
Airways International sometimes can match
prices of the other airlines but Thai
Airways usually are bureaucrats who lost the
touch to the time, they are only reasonable
when you book a international flight to
Thailand and add a flight to Phuket, Chiang
Mai, Krabi, Trang, Hat Yai and elsewhere as
an extension to the international sector.

About 100 km to the north of the island is
one of the best diving destinations in the world, that’s
around the Similan islands close to Khao Lak. Sightseeing
and day trip options around Phuket are plenty including the
Phang Nga Bay to the east where they made several great
movies, among them a James Bond movie (on the now called
James Bond Island) and Phi Phi Island further south in Krabi
Province where they shot “The Beach” with Leonardo di Caprio
on famous Maya Beach. The Phi Phi Islands are easily
accessible from Rasada Pier in Phuket Town via several
ferries every day at 8am. The island is a genuine
beach destination where everyone can find just the right
beach.
